Take a Virtual Tour around the BET Reserves
If you haven't been able to visit the BET reserves recently, you can still have a look around them and explore some of the lovely views and features.
The tour of the reserves comprises a series of 360-degree panoramas taken over the past couple of years, plus other information points. You can pan around each view and click on a hotspot to move to another view. The application works best on a PC and shows better detail. On a phone or tablet it should work OK, but you won't see names on the hotspots or thumbnail views. Performance will depend on the age of the device and the connection speed.
- Click on the image below, and then Start.
- Drag the view around and use a mouse or Q/W keys to zoom out/in. Click on a hotspot to see another view.
- Click once on a view, or press the spacebar, to hide all the icons and thumbnails. Click or press twice to go into full screen.
- Click the compass symbol on the right to see the location of the view on Google Earth and the direction you are looking.
The aerial views were taken with a small drone at a maximum height of 400 feet. The BET reserves fall within the Flight Restriction Zone around Bristol Airport and permission has to be requested from the Control Tower before each flight.
