Easy-access path resurfaced – but vandals have been at work.

Over the Easter weekend, magnificent heavy horses started hauling felled diseased ash trees from Jubilee Stone Wood.

A short video of how we harnessed the power of heavy horses and BET volunteers to extract felled timber from the woods.

Unfortunately, as the disease continues to kill our ash trees, we need to fell more trees to keep our woods safe. 

We are sorry that the gate into the field by the Jubilee Stone has been removed and the path closed.

This winter we have done what we could to tackle diseased ash trees at most risk of falling onto the road and our footpaths.

The disease is killing hundreds of trees on the BET reserves and, very reluctantly, we have to take action to keep the roads and our visitors safe.
