Winter Walk - February 2015

On 15th February, Bill Charnock led 20 BET Members on a ramble from Backwell Woods to National Trust Tyntesfield.

The route headed down to the Land Yeo, passing by Watercress Farm and onto the Victorian Bathing Pond which was constructed around 1890 and is 5 feet deep at one end.  After climbing up to Tyntesfield, the group had a rest for lunch and then bodgers Peter and Ted gave an overview of Windsor chairmaking at the bodgers barn.

The path down to Wraxall and Backwell Common was exceedingly muddy but the intrepid walkers survived and agreed the outing had been most enjoyable and informative.
