Opening Celebrations - Autumn 2014

In October 2014, BET Members joined in celebrating the completion of two big projects by our volunteers over the past two years. This event marked the opening of our wonderful new 'Geology Trail' and the fantastic refurbished BET 'Cabin'.

Archaeology Walk - July 2014

On Sunday 13th July, BET held its second annual Archaeology Walk around our woods, just one of 1,000 events around the country for the Council For British Archaeology Festival Fortnight.

Spring Walk -  May 2014

On the wonderfully sunny Sunday afternoon of the Early May Bank Holiday weekend, BET held a guided walk through the woodland reserves, enjoying the fine views and spectacular wildflowers.

BET on BBC - February 2014

In June 2013, BET was contacted by the makers of the BBC series ‘Escape to the Country’ to ask if we would like to take part in an episode being filmed in North Somerset.  The episode was broadcast in Feb 2014 and included a 4-minute story about BET, which you can watch by following this link. 

Tree Identification Walk - July 2013

At the end of July, BET organised a highly instructive Tree Identifcation Walk through our woodlands with a local tree expert.

Dry Stone Walling - July 2012

10. The happy wallersBET hosted an intensive hands-on training day re-building a dry stone wall. With expert assistance from the SWEDSWA the volunteers soon got the hang of the techniques and transformed a collapsed old wall. 

Diamond Jubilee Celebration - June 2012
